Mall of Georgia Raises Money for Local Food Drive this Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, the Georgia Mountain Food Bank Facility worked to feed as many families as possible through their food drive donations. The food bank maintains three trucks on the road for five days a week, continuously picking up donations from grocery stores and other providers. This year, they were able to surpass this goal with the help of Kia Mall of Georgia and Mall of Georgia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. The nonprofit notes that each truckload of food is about $40,000 worth of food items, with nearly 65% of these donations coming from local grocery stores and retailers. The food bank typically provides 50 meals for every $10 donated, but with the efforts of Kia Mall of Georgia and Mall of Georgia CDJR, the food bank was able to make the holidays special for even more families this year. The dealership matched each donation up to $10,000, turning those 50 meals into about 100. Kia Mall of Georgia and Mall of Georgia CDJR thank their community for their help in doing this work and making a difference for so many families this Thanksgiving!
